MAPEI Adesilex PG1 6 kg – thixotropic 2-component epoxy-based structural adhesive

Adesilex PG1 is a two-component, thixotropic epoxy resin-based structural adhesive. It is used for bonding building materials such as concrete, wood, and ceramic to one another, for sealing cracks prior to injection, and for structural bonding – both indoors and outdoors.

Scope of delivery: 6 kg kit, pre-dosed – Component A 4.5 kg + Component B 1.5 kg.

If a longer pot life is required, MAPEI Adesilex PG4 is suitable; for very fast applications, Adesilex PG1 Rapido.

• Application temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C
• Compressive strength: > 70 MPa after 7 days
• Storage: 24 months in unopened original packaging, stored in a cool, dry place above +5 °C

Consumption

Consumption is approx. 1.70 kg/m² per mm of layer thickness. A 6 kg kit is sufficient for approx. 3.5 m² at 1 mm thickness.

Application of Adesilex PG1

1. Preparing the substrate

The bonding surfaces must be load-bearing, clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, and cement laitance.

2. Mixing

Add component B completely to component A and mix until homogeneous using a slow-speed mixer, e.g., with a resin stirrer.

3. Application

Apply within approx. 35 minutes using a trowel, spatula, or smoothing trowel and join the components.
