MAPEI Mapeband Flex Roll 100/1 – TPE Joint Tape 100 mm × 1 mm, 20 m roll

Mapeband Flex Roll is a highly flexible thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) sealing tape for sealing expansion, construction, and connection joints as well as cracks. It is bonded using the epoxy adhesive MAPEI Adesilex PG4 or Adesilex PG1 and is waterproof up to 8 bar – even under pressurized water.

Scope of delivery: Roll with 20 m, width 100 mm, thickness 1 mm. Also available as a 200 mm wide version.

Application of Mapeband Flex Roll

1. Prepare the substrate

The bonding surfaces on both sides of the joint must be load-bearing, clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, and cement laitance.

2. First adhesive layer

Apply Adesilex PG4 or PG1 in a layer thickness of approx. 1–2 mm on both sides of the joint.

3. Embed the tape

Place Mapeband Flex Roll into the fresh adhesive and press firmly; leave a loop or a free expansion zone in the joint area. Weld overlaps with hot air.

4. Second adhesive layer

Cover the edges of the tape fresh-on-fresh with a second layer of adhesive and broadcast with quartz sand (according to the manufacturer Quarzo 0.5) so that subsequent layers adhere well.
