MAPEI Eco Prim T Plus 5 kg – very low-emission acrylic primer for absorbent and non-absorbent substrates

Eco Prim T Plus is a very low-emission and low-odor aqueous acrylic dispersion primer. It is suitable for absorbent and non-absorbent substrates and improves the adhesion of subsequent leveling compounds, tile adhesives, and coatings.

Scope of delivery: 5 kg container.

Typical areas of application

• Priming of cement and anhydrite screeds before leveling and smoothing compounds such as MAPEI Ultraplan Maxi
• Pre-treatment before tiling
• Adhesion improvement on non-absorbent substrates (undiluted)

For very smooth, non-absorbent substrates such as old tiles, we alternatively recommend MAPEI Eco Prim Grip Plus.

Technical data

• Base: aqueous acrylic dispersion
• Dilution: undiluted on non-absorbent substrates, 1 : 1 to 1 : 3 with water on absorbent substrates
• Drying time: 30–60 minutes, depending on the substrate
• Application temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C
• Storage: 12 months in the original unopened container, protect from frost

Consumption

Depending on the dilution ratio, consumption is approx. 100–200 g/m². A 5 kg container is sufficient for approx. 25–50 m².

Application of Eco Prim T Plus

1. Prepare the substrate

The substrate must be load-bearing, clean, and free of dust, loose particles, oil, and grease.

2. Dilution

Dilute 1 : 1 to 1 : 3 with water on absorbent substrates; use undiluted on non-absorbent substrates.

3. Application

Apply the primer evenly with a paint roller or a brush. Avoid puddling.

4. Drying

Work can continue after 30–60 minutes (depending on the substrate).
