MAPEI Mapesil LM 310 ml – neutral-curing silicone for natural stone with BioBlock

Mapesil LM is a neutral-curing, one-component, and mold-resistant silicone sealant specifically for natural stone. It does not cause edge staining on the joint flanks and is mold-inhibiting thanks to BioBlock technology.

Scope of delivery: 310 ml cartridge, individually or in a box of 12 cartridges. Available in various colors and transparent.

Technical data

• Base: Silicone, neutral-curing, one-component
• Movement capability: approx. 25% of the joint width
• Application temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C
• Temperature resistance: −40 °C to +150 °C
• Storage: 18 months in the unopened original container, cool, frost-free, and dry

Consumption

One 310 ml cartridge is sufficient for approx. 3.1 linear meters for a 10 × 10 mm joint.

Application of Mapesil LM

1. Prepare the joint

The joint flanks must be dry, clean, and free of dust, oil, and grease. Mask the joint edges with masking tape.

2. Application

Cut the nozzle to match the joint width and apply the silicone evenly and bubble-free using a cartridge gun.

3. Smoothing

Smooth before skin formation, e.g., with smoothing agent, and remove the masking tape immediately.
