MAPEI Planiseal 88 25 kg – rigid, cementitious waterproofing slurry for masonry and concrete

Planiseal 88 is a one-component, rigid, cementitious waterproofing slurry for sealing masonry and concrete. It is approved for use in potable water areas according to DVGW worksheet W 270 and can be applied by brush, trowel, or spray.

Scope of delivery: 25 kg bag, available individually or as a pallet of 40 bags. Color: gray.

Consumption

Consumption is approx. 1.5 kg/m² per mm of layer thickness. At a total layer thickness of 2 mm, you will need approx. 3 kg/m² – a 25 kg bag is therefore sufficient for approx. 8 m².

Processing of Planiseal 88

1. Preparing the substrate

The substrate must be load-bearing, clean, and free from dust, loose particles, and release agents. Pre-wet absorbent substrates.

2. Mixing

Place 5.25–5.75 l of water in a mixing bucket and mix the contents of the bag with a slow-speed mixer until lump-free.

3. First layer

Apply the waterproofing slurry by brush, trowel, or spray.

4. Second layer

Apply the subsequent layer after approx. 5 hours, but no later than 24 hours.
