MAPEI Primer G – low-emission synthetic resin dispersion primer for absorbent substrates

Primer G is a very low-emission synthetic resin-based dispersion primer for absorbent interior substrates. It reduces the absorbency of the substrate, binds residual dust, and improves the adhesion of subsequent leveling compounds, tile adhesives, and waterproofing membranes.

Scope of delivery: Container with 5 kg, 10 kg, or 25 kg (variant selectable).

Technical data

• Base: Synthetic resin dispersion
• Dilution: 1:1 to max. 1:3 with water, depending on absorbency – on cement screed before leveling compounds max. 1:2
• Drying time: 30–60 minutes, depending on the substrate
• Application temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C
• Storage: 12 months in the unopened original container, frost-free

Consumption

Depending on the mixing ratio and absorbency, consumption is approx. 50–200 g/m². A 5 kg container is therefore sufficient for approx. 25–100 m².

Application of Primer G

1. Prepare the substrate

The substrate must be load-bearing, clean, and free of dust, loose particles, oil, and grease.

2. Dilute

Dilute Primer G 1:1 up to max. 1:3 with water, depending on absorbency; on cement screed before leveling compounds, max. 1:2.

3. Apply

Apply evenly with a paint roller or a brush. Avoid the formation of puddles.

4. Allow to dry

Work can continue after 30–60 minutes (depending on the substrate).
