SIKA Sikafloor-2600 30 kg – 2-part epoxy resin flooring for self-smoothing coatings

Sikafloor-2600 is a 2-part, colored, solvent-free epoxy resin binder for high-quality floor coatings. The product is particularly suitable for self-smoothing epoxy resin floor coatings as well as a base resin for broadcast systems and can be used on suitable concrete and cement screed surfaces.

Its liquid, self-smoothing application creates a seamless, glossy, and liquid-tight surface that is easy to clean. Sikafloor-2600 is suitable for areas with normal to medium-heavy mechanical loading, such as workshops, garages, storage and production areas, and loading ramps.

The floor coating is available in numerous RAL colors and can additionally be decorated with color chips and subsequently finished with a suitable sealer.

Suitable substrates

Sikafloor-2600 can be used on appropriately prepared and suitable mineral substrates, in particular:

• Concrete
• Cement screed
• Appropriately prepared mineral substrates

The substrate must be load-bearing, clean, and free of substances that could impair adhesion. Before applying the smoothing coating, the substrate is generally prepared with a suitable primer, such as Sikafloor-150 Plus.

Consumption

Consumption depends on the intended system build-up, the layer thickness, and the condition of the substrate.

For the self-smoothing coating we offer, consumption is typically around 1.2–1.5 kg/m².

Application of Sikafloor-2600

1. Preparing the substrate

The substrate must be appropriately prepared, clean, dry, and load-bearing. Cement-based substrates are prepared, for example, by diamond grinding or shot blasting, depending on their condition.

2. Priming

Before the self-smoothing coating is applied, the prepared substrate is primed with a suitable primer. For an appropriate Sikafloor system build-up, Sikafloor-150 Plus can be used, for example.

3. Applying Sikafloor-2600

After the prescribed mixing process, the material is applied to the prepared substrate and distributed evenly with a suitable notched trowel. The surface is then de-aerated or finished according to the intended system build-up using a spiked roller.

4. Optional broadcasting of color chips

For a decorative surface, color chips can be broadcast into the still-fresh coating during application. This creates an individual, textured look. For this, spiked shoes are required to walk on the fresh coating.

5. Optional sealing and creating slip resistance

Depending on the desired surface and stress, the finished coating can subsequently be provided with a suitable sealer, such as Sikafloor 256W Comp. A+B.

For a slip-resistant surface, Sika Anti-Slip Agent can be added to the sealer. The dosage is 2-4% of the SIKA Sikafloor 256W Comp. A+B
