SIKA Sikafloor-2600 30 kg – 2K Epoxy Floor Coating for Self-Leveling Applications

Sikafloor-2600 is a 2-component, colored, solvent-free epoxy resin binder for high-quality floor coatings. The product is particularly suitable for self-leveling epoxy floor coatings as well as a base resin for broadcast systems and can be applied to suitable concrete and cement screed surfaces.

The liquid, self-leveling application creates a seamless, glossy, and liquid-tight surface that is easy to clean. Sikafloor-2600 is suitable for areas with normal to medium mechanical loads, such as workshops, garages, storage and production areas, and loading ramps.

The floor coating is available in numerous RAL shades and can additionally be decorated with color chips and subsequently finished with a suitable sealer.

Suitable Substrates

Sikafloor-2600 can be used on properly prepared and suitable mineral substrates, in particular:

• Concrete
• Cement screed
• Properly prepared mineral substrates

The substrate must be load-bearing, clean, and free of substances that could impair adhesion. Before applying the self-leveling coating, the substrate is generally prepared with a suitable primer, for example, Sikafloor-150 Plus.

Consumption

Consumption depends on the intended system build-up, layer thickness, and the condition of the substrate.

For the self-leveling coating we offer, consumption is typically around 1.2–1.5 kg/m².

Application of Sikafloor-2600

1. Preparing the substrate

The substrate must be properly prepared, clean, dry, and load-bearing. Cement-based substrates are prepared depending on their condition, for example by diamond grinding or shot blasting.

2. Priming

Before the self-leveling coating is applied, the prepared substrate is primed with a suitable primer. For a corresponding Sikafloor system build-up, for example, Sikafloor-150 Plus can be used.

3. Applying Sikafloor-2600

After the prescribed mixing process, the material is applied to the prepared substrate and distributed evenly using a suitable notched trowel. Subsequently, the surface is de-aerated or worked over with a spiked roller in accordance with the planned system build-up.

4. Optional broadcasting of color chips

For a decorative finish, color chips can be broadcast into the still-wet coating during application. This creates an individual, textured look. For this, spiked shoes are required to walk on the fresh coating.

5. Optional sealing and creating slip resistance

Depending on the desired surface and load, the finished coating can subsequently be coated with the silk-matte sealer Sikafloor-256 W.

For a slip-resistant surface, Sikafloor Anti-Slip Agent can be added to the sealer. The dosage is 2–4% of the sealer quantity.
