TECHPUR Stone Binder Vertical 4 l – thixotropic binder for stone carpet on walls, baseboards & steps

TECHPUR Stone Binder Vertical is a single-component, thixotropic, and fully aliphatic polyurethane binder for stone carpets on vertical surfaces. Thanks to its adjusted rheology, the material does not sag on walls, baseboards, or steps. One 4-liter container is sufficient for approx. 2 m² of vertical surface.

The binder is based on TECHPUR binder technology, cures with atmospheric humidity, and does not yellow when exposed to sunlight. It may appear colored in the container – the result is transparent after application.

Consumption

• As binder: approx. 2 liters per 25 kg of marble gravel for approx. 1 m² of vertical surface at max. 8 mm – a 4-liter container is therefore sufficient for approx. 2 m².
• Primer: approx. 300 g/m².
• As pore sealer: approx. 1 kg/m², work in with a rubber squeegee and smooth with a roller.

Application

1. Prepare the substrate

Prepare and clean the substrate, e.g., by diamond grinding. Remove oil, grease, cement laitance, loose parts, and old coatings; level out uneven areas.

2. Priming

First prime non-absorbent substrates such as ceramic tiles and marble (approx. 300 g/m²).

3. Mixing

Mix approx. 2 liters of binder with 25 kg of marble gravel until all stones are evenly coated.

4. Application

Apply the mixture with a trowel, compact and smooth it. Maximum 8 mm layer thickness to ensure adhesion and stability.

5. Cleaning

Clean tools with paper and then with solvent. Rollers are not reusable.

Safety: Contains flammable solvents. Only process in well-ventilated areas away from ignition sources.
