MAPEI Additix PE 1 kg – Thixotropic agent for epoxy and polyurethane resins

Additix PE is a thixotropic agent based on polyethylene fibers used to selectively thicken epoxy and polyurethane resins. This makes the resins stable for vertical surfaces, coves, and thicker layers without running.

Scope of delivery: 1 kg container.

Typical areas of application

• With MAPEI Primer SN for pore sealing and scratch coats

• With Mapefloor I 300 SL for creating coves

Technical data

• Base: Polyethylene fibers
• Dosage: 2–5% based on the mixed resin

Consumption

The addition rate is 2–5% by weight of the mixed resin. For a 10 kg resin container, you will need approx. 0.2–0.5 kg of Additix PE – a 1 kg container is sufficient for approx. 20–50 kg of resin.

Application of Additix PE

1. Mix resin

First, mix resin components A and B completely and homogeneously, e.g., with a resin mixer.

2. Add Additix PE

Stir in Additix PE as the final component gradually until the desired consistency is reached.

3. Apply

Apply the thickened resin within the pot life of the respective resin.
