Simply select the desired marble gravel color, enter the area in m² in the consumption calculator and the complete set will be calculated for you.
On what type of surface can I lay the stone carpet?
Suitable substrates for a stone carpet are:
- Concrete, e.g., base slab, screed or concrete terrace
- Cement screed or anhydrite screed
- tiles
It is important that each surface is prepared beforehand by sanding or blasting so that the primer can adhere optimally afterwards.
What are the advantages of a stone carpet compared to tiles?
A stone carpet offers numerous advantages over traditional tiles. Its seamless surface prevents the accumulation of dirt and water, and its textured surface provides superior slip resistance, especially on patios, balconies, and stairs. Unlike tiles, a stone carpet is elastic and impact-resistant, preventing cracks and chips. It can be flexibly designed in a variety of colors, grain sizes, and patterns; even custom designs are possible. Easy cleaning without grout maintenance and a weather- and frost-resistant surface make it exceptionally low-maintenance and durable. Furthermore, a stone carpet can often be installed directly over existing surfaces, simplifying renovations and saving time.
What are the advantages of a stone carpet?
Stone carpets are durable, easy to clean, slip-resistant, frost-proof, and UV-resistant. They also offer a modern design, a wide range of colors, and a pleasant feel underfoot.
How long does a stone carpet last?
A stone carpet typically lasts 15 to 25 years, sometimes even longer - this depends heavily on the substrate, use and maintenance.
How much does a stone carpet cost per square meter?
Our complete stone carpet kit contains all necessary materials and is available in the smallest size (2 m²) for €129.00. The price per square meter may vary depending on the size ordered, becoming more affordable as the area decreases.
How long does the stone carpet need to dry?
The stone carpet needs approximately 24 hours to dry. After 3 days, furniture etc. can be placed on the surface. After 7 days, the stone carpet is completely chemically cured.
It has hardened and can be fully used.

A stone carpet can be installed almost anywhere, both indoors and outdoors. Indoors, it's ideal for living rooms, hallways, kitchens, bathrooms, and staircases, as well as for commercial spaces or showrooms. Outdoors, it can be used on patios, balconies, loggias, garden paths, pool surrounds, or open-air stairs. A clean, stable, and level surface such as concrete, screed, or existing tiles is required.

At the same time, they protect heavily used edges, such as those on stairs or terraces, and create a visually appealing transition to walls or other floor coverings.
How do I need to prepare the surface?
The surface should be ground using a diamond cup wheel and then vacuumed.
Is a stone carpet frost-resistant?
Yes, stone carpets are frost and weather resistant. However, it is important that water can drain away freely.
How is the primer applied?
The primer is applied and spread evenly over the surface using a paint roller.

The marble gravel for the stone carpet has a grain size of 2-4mm.
What is the difference between solvent-based and solvent-free binders?
The difference between solvent-based and solvent-free binders lies primarily in their composition, application, and environmental compatibility:
Solvent-based binder suitable for outdoor use
Contains volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that evaporate during curing.
Stronger odor and more harmful to health with insufficient ventilation, which is why it is not suitable for indoor use.
Solvent-free binder suitable for indoor use
Contains no or very small amounts of volatile solvents.
More environmentally friendly, low odor and safer for health.

How do I lay the stone carpet vertically?
Mix the marble with the Vertical binder to form a homogeneous mass (approx. 12% binder by weight of the stone). First, pretreat the vertical surface ("primer") and apply the binder at a rate of approximately 300 g/m². Then, spread the stone carpet mixture evenly with a trowel and adjust it to the height of the finishing strip (approx. 8 mm).
What is the TECHPUR Stone pore filler AC 10kg used for?
It is suitable for sealing stone carpets indoors, especially in areas that are not permanently wet.
How do I lay the stone carpet horizontally?
Mix the marble with the binder to form a homogeneous mass (binder content approx. 8% of the stone weight). Then, apply the stone carpet mixture evenly with a trowel and adjust it to the height of the finishing strip (approx. 8 mm). Work on the vertical surfaces first, before laying the horizontal surfaces, to prevent any falling stone carpet mixture from landing on already finished horizontal areas.
Tip for laying
First, spread the stone carpet evenly to a layer thickness of approximately 10 mm and then compact it (smooth it with a trowel under slight pressure). After compaction, clean the tool and...
Lightly spray with our smoothing aid and smooth with a final coat (this prevents the stone carpet from sticking to the trowel).
