MAPEI Keracolor Plus 23 kg – fast-setting grout CG2WA in large packaging

Keracolor Plus is a cementitious, polymer-modified, fast-setting grout for joints from 1 to 10 mm. Thanks to DropEffect technology, the joint is water-repellent with a beading effect and easy to clean, while BioBlock technology inhibits mold growth.

The 23 kg bag is the economical choice for large areas – for porcelain stoneware, ceramic tiles, clinker, natural stone, and mosaics on walls and floors, both indoors and outdoors. The area is ready for foot traffic after approx. 3 hours.

Scope of delivery: 23 kg paper bag in the selected color (silver gray, medium gray, cement gray, or basalt). Other colors are available as Keracolor Plus 5 kg.

Consumption

• Tile 10 × 10 cm, 7 mm thick: approx. 0.4 kg/m² (2 mm joint), 0.6 kg/m² (3 mm), 1.1 kg/m² (5 mm)
• Slab 30 × 30 cm, 20 mm thick: approx. 0.6 kg/m² (2 mm joint), 1.0 kg/m² (3 mm)

Formula: (length + width) / (length × width) × slab thickness × joint width × 1.5 = kg/m² (all dimensions in mm).

Application of Keracolor Plus

1. Prepare joints

Allow the adhesive mortar to set sufficiently. Ensure joints are clean, dust-free, and raked out to at least 2/3 of the slab depth.

2. Mixing

Add water to the bucket, stir in the powder, and mix until lump-free at max. 400 rpm, e.g., in a mixing bucket. Allow to rest for 2–3 minutes and stir again.

3. Grouting

Apply flush using a grouting float and remove diagonally to the joint.

4. Cleaning

After 15–30 minutes, clean diagonally with a damp tile sponge and finish cleaning once dry – do not use a dry cloth.

Note: Seal movement and perimeter joints with silicone, e.g., Mapesil AC Zero. Do not mix colors and do not add water to stiffened mortar. All information is taken from the technical data sheet of MAPEI Austria.
