MAPEI Keraflex Extra S1 Zero 25 kg – flexible, non-slip tile adhesive C2TE S1 with long open time

Keraflex Extra S1 Zero is a high-quality, flexible, and non-slip cementitious installation mortar with high wetting capacity for ceramic tiles and natural stone. Thanks to its long pot life (approx. 8 hours) and good adjustability, it can be applied with ease. The greenhouse gas emissions of the product have been offset (“Zero”).

Scope of delivery: 25 kg bag, individually or as a pallet with 40 bags.

Consumption

Consumption is approx. 1.2 kg/m² per mm layer thickness. For a 4 mm adhesive bed, you will need approx. 4.8 kg/m² – a 25 kg bag is therefore sufficient for approx. 5 m².

Application of Keraflex Extra S1 Zero

1. Preparing the substrate

The substrate must be load-bearing, level, clean, and free of dust, oil, grease, and loose particles. Prime absorbent substrates with, for example, MAPEI Primer G.

2. Mixing

Stir the bag contents into clean water and mix with a low-speed agitator in a mixing bucket until a pasty, lump-free mass is achieved.

3. Applying the adhesive

Apply the adhesive using a notched trowel or notched spreader with the appropriate notch size.

4. Laying tiles

Lay the tiles, press them firmly, and align them within the adjustment time.

5. Grouting

Grout wall surfaces after 4–8 hours and floor surfaces after 24 hours, for example with MAPEI Keracolor Plus.
