MAPEI Keraflex Vario Quick S1 – fast-setting Varioflex adhesive, 25 kg

Keraflex Vario Quick S1 is a highly flexible, fast-setting cementitious adhesive mortar for thin-bed, medium-bed, and flow-bed installation. It is suitable for installing ceramic tiles as well as dimensionally stable and non-staining natural and artificial stones in layer thicknesses of up to 15 mm – both indoors and outdoors, on walls and floors.

The consistency can be adjusted variably by changing the amount of water used. The surface is ready for foot traffic and grouting after just approx. 4 hours – ideal when speed is of the essence.

Consumption

Approx. 1.2 kg of powder per m² and mm of layer thickness. According to the manufacturer, for example:

• 6 mm notched trowel: 2.0–2.4 kg/m² – one bag covers approx. 12.5 m²
• 8 mm notched trowel: 2.7–3.1 kg/m² – approx. 9 m²
• 10 mm notched trowel: 3.5–3.9 kg/m² – approx. 7 m²

Application

1. Ensure the substrate is clean, firm, load-bearing, and dry; prime gypsum-based or highly absorbent surfaces with MAPEI Primer G.
2. Pour the water first, add the powder, let it stand for approx. 5 minutes, and stir again.
3. Apply a thin contact layer first, then apply the adhesive bed with a notched trowel.
4. Press the tiles in with a sliding motion; for large formats, use the buttering-floating method.
5. Protect the surface from moisture for 24 hours and from frost for 3 days.
