MAPEI Mapefloor I 914 28 kg – solvent-free 2K epoxy primer for concrete and bridge waterproofing

Mapefloor I 914 is a two-component, solvent-free epoxy resin used to create primers, sealers, and scratch coats on concrete. It is used in particular in systems for bridge waterproofing and, according to the manufacturer, can also be applied to damp concrete.

Scope of delivery: 28 kg kit, pre-dosed – component A 21 kg + component B 7 kg.

Consumption

Consumption is approx. 250–700 g/m², depending on the application and substrate. One 28 kg kit is sufficient for approx. 40–110 m².

Application of Mapefloor I 914

1. Preparing the substrate

Remove cement laitance and loose particles by shot blasting or grinding. The substrate must be sound and free of dust, oil, and grease; standing water must be avoided.

2. Mixing

Add component B completely to component A and mix until homogeneous using a resin stirrer at a low speed.

3. Application

Distribute the material with a rubber squeegee and roll over with a short-pile roller. The dew point distance must be at least 3 °C.

4. Broadcasting

Broadcast the fresh primer with kiln-dried quartz sand (according to the manufacturer, Quarzo 1.2) to improve the adhesion of the next layer. Apply subsequent layers after 12–24 hours.
