MAPEI Mapeguard WP 200 – Waterproofing and Uncoupling Membrane, Roll 1 × 30 m

Mapeguard WP 200 is a flexible, thin, waterproof, and crack-bridging waterproofing and uncoupling membrane made of polyethylene, laminated on both sides with polypropylene fleece. The surface is ready for tiling – once bonded, tiles or natural stone can be installed directly.

  • On gypsum, cement plaster, aerated concrete, concrete, cement screed, and firm old coverings

Installation

  1. Prepare a stable, level, and clean substrate; prime absorbent substrates with MAPEI Primer G.
  2. Apply a C2 adhesive such as MAPEI Keraflex Maxi S1 as a contact layer and comb with a 3×3 or 4×4 mm notched trowel.
  3. Lay the membrane and press down from the center outwards to ensure no bubbles remain; overlap joints by at least 5 cm.
  4. Seal joints, corners, and pipe penetrations with the appropriate system accessories.
  5. Install tiles after the adhesive has cured.

Important: The membrane is not permanently UV-resistant and must be fully covered with a floor finish.
