MAPEI Mapelastic 32 kg – two-component, crack-bridging sealing slurry

Mapelastic is a two-component, crack-bridging, and fiber-reinforced waterproofing system based on cement and synthetic resin. It is waterproof, water-vapor permeable, and CO₂-resistant, and is suitable for moisture exposure up to W6 according to ÖNORM B 3407 – for indoor and outdoor use.

Scope of delivery: 32 kg set, pre-dosed – Component A (powder) + Component B (liquid) in a 3:1 ratio.

Consumption

Consumption is at least 1.7 kg/m² per mm (manual application) or 2.2 kg/m² per mm (spray application). For a 2 mm layer thickness applied by hand, you will need approx. 3.4 kg/m² – a 32 kg set is therefore sufficient for approx. 9 m².

Application of Mapelastic

1. Prepare the substrate

The substrate must be sound, clean, and free of dust, loose particles, oil, and release agents.

2. Mixing

Pour Component B into a clean mixing bucket and slowly add Component A while stirring. Mix with a low-speed mixer until homogeneous and lump-free.

3. Sealing corners and joints

Embed joints, corners, and expansion joints with a sealing tape such as MAPEI Mapeband Easy into the first, fresh layer.

4. Apply waterproofing

Apply Mapelastic in 2 coats using a trowel, brush, roller, or spray method until a dry layer thickness of at least 2 mm is achieved.
