MAPEI Plastimul Primer 10 l – solvent-free bitumen primer

Plastimul Primer is a one-component, solvent-free bitumen emulsion for pre-treating substrates for the waterproofing products in the PLASTIMUL line. The primer ensures optimal adhesion of the subsequent thick bitumen coating.

Scope of delivery: 10 l container, ready to use.

Technical data

• Base: Bitumen emulsion, one-component, solvent-free
• Application temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C
• Recoatable: after complete drying
• Storage: 12 months in the original unopened container, in a cool, frost-free, and dry place

Consumption

Consumption is approx. 200–300 g/m², depending on the roughness and absorbency of the substrate. A 10 l container is therefore sufficient for approx. 35–50 m².

Application of Plastimul Primer

1. Prepare the substrate

The substrate must be sound, clean, and free of dust and loose particles.

2. Application

Apply the primer evenly using a brush, masonry brush, or roller.

3. Allow to dry

The thick bitumen coating can be applied after the primer has dried completely.
