MAPEI Primer LT 5 kg – Adhesion promoter for Ultratop Loft and cementitious leveling compounds

Primer LT is a single-component adhesion promoter and primer for indoor use. It improves adhesion between layers of ULTRATOP LOFT as well as cementitious MAPEI leveling compounds on absorbent and non-absorbent substrates – including ceramic, natural stone, wood, and water-resistant adhesive residues.

Scope of delivery: 5 kg container.

Technical data

• Dilution: 1:1 with water between Ultratop Loft layers; 1:2 with water on cement or anhydrite substrates; undiluted on ceramic, natural stone, wood, and water-resistant adhesive residues
• Drying time: Concrete and wood 10–20 minutes, ceramic 30–40 minutes
• Waiting time before applying leveling mortar or adhesive: Concrete and wood 2–3 hours, ceramic 4–5 hours
• Application temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C
• Storage: 12 months in the original container at +5 °C to +30 °C

Consumption

Consumption is approx. 100–200 g/m² depending on the substrate. A 5 kg container is sufficient for approx. 25–50 m².

Processing Primer LT

1. Prepare the substrate

The substrate must be load-bearing, clean, and free from dust, oil, and grease.

2. Dilute

Dilute with water at a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2, or use undiluted, depending on the substrate (see technical data).

3. Application

Apply evenly with a paint roller or brush.

4. Continue work

Apply leveling mortar or adhesive after 2–3 hours on concrete and wood, and after 4–5 hours on ceramic.
