SIKA Sikafloor-150 Plus 25 kg – Epoxy Resin Primer for Concrete & Screed

Sikafloor-150 Plus is a solvent-free, colorless, low-viscosity 2-component epoxy resin for priming, leveling, and the production of mortar and screed. It serves as a bonding agent for all Sikafloor floor coatings based on epoxy or polyurethane and ensures a reliable connection between the substrate and the coating.

Thanks to its low viscosity, the primer penetrates well into normal to highly absorbent mineral substrates. It is low-odor and low-emission, free from toxic-to-reproduction substances, and suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Sikafloor-150 Plus is the primer used in our complete floor coating set.

Scope of delivery: 25 kg container (Component A 18.5 kg + Component B 6.5 kg).

Consumption

• Primer: 1–2 × 0.30–0.50 kg/m²
• Leveling (roughness depth < 1 mm): 1 part resin + 0.5 parts quartz sand 0.1–0.3 mm + 1.5 % leveling agent T, approx. 1.4 kg/m² per mm
• Leveling (roughness depth up to 2 mm): 1 part resin + 1 part quartz sand 0.1–0.3 mm + 1.5 % leveling agent T, approx. 1.6 kg/m² per mm
• Epoxy and repair mortar (15–20 mm): 1 part resin + 10 parts sand mixture, approx. 2.2 kg/m² per mm

With an average consumption of 0.40 kg/m², a 25 kg container is sufficient for around 60 m² of primer.

Application of Sikafloor-150 Plus

1. Prepare the substrate

The substrate must be sound, dry, clean, and free of grease and oil (compressive strength at least 25 N/mm², pull-off strength at least 1.5 N/mm²). Completely remove cement laitance, e.g., by bead blasting or grinding, until a rough, open-pored surface is created. Completely remove dust with an industrial vacuum cleaner.

2. Mixing

Stir component A, add component B, and mix slowly at first, then at max. 300 rpm, e.g., in a mixing bucket. For leveling, add quartz sand and leveling agent T after approx. 3 minutes and continue mixing for at least 2 minutes. Transfer to a clean container and mix briefly again.

3. Priming

Apply the primer preferably with a rubber squeegee and then roll over it crosswise with a short-pile roller. For highly absorbent substrates, plan for a second coat.

4. Further coating

Continue working with the floor coating within the waiting time (at +20 °C after 9 h up to max. 2 days), e.g., with Sikafloor-2600.

Note: If residual moisture exceeds 4 CM-%, a temporary moisture barrier is required; alternatively, Sikafloor-1590 is suitable.
